Cookies and local storage
This site does not set cookies and does not store anything on your device. You will not see a cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Search
Site search runs entirely in your browser. Your search terms are not sent to us or to anyone else.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, and images and other files are served from Google Cloud Storage. Like any web host, Google receives technical information needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. It uses this information to deliver and secure the service, acting on our behalf under its data processing terms. Google may process this information in countries other than your own.
Analytics
We use Umami to understand how the site is used in aggregate, such as which articles are read and where visitors come from. Umami is designed for privacy:
- It does not use cookies or store anything on your device.
- It does not store your IP address.
- It does not track you across other websites or build a profile of you.
- It records only aggregate information: the page visited, the referring website, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and country (derived from your IP address, which is then discarded).
- If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, your visit is not recorded.
Legal basis
We process the limited information described above on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in delivering and securing the site and in understanding, in aggregate, how it is used so that we can improve it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because we do not collect information that identifies you, we usually hold no data we could link to you. To exercise your rights or ask a question, contact contact@computervisiononline.com.

Articles link to external sources such as research papers and documentation. Those websites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
